Anne's story

Anajali Ministries, Inc. was founded by Anne Blodgett, a first and second grade teacher, who visited the school in August of 2007 while on a church mission trip. Anne was moved by the children's spirits and their need. In January of 2008 she decided to do what she could and has started speaking and raising awareness in the hopes to help fund the school.
Anajali Ministries, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization committed to bringing education and hope to the poorest children living in Nairobi's Kibera slum. We work closely with Wellingtone Nabwoba who founded the Anajali School in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya and is the head teacher there.
